As regards its composition, the thermal water in Hegykõ was qualified by theregulator as a mineral water with a high concentration of sodium chlorideand alkali-bicarbonate, also containing considerable amounts of fluoride andlithium. The mineral water well forth a depth of 1434 m, reaching atemperatrue of 55 °C on the surface.

Cure recommendations:

• The primary effect of the thermal water is antiphlogistic: it is suited toheal inflammations of hte locomotor system and further to heal inflammationsof gynaecological and urological origins.
• Because of its favourable effects it can be applied in the after care phaseof orthopaedic and traumatologic operations of different prts of thelocomotor system.
• The use of the salty water is fitted for recreational purposes as well: itstrenghtens the resistance of the immunem system.

Contraindications:

• Serious cardio-vascular diseases, thromboses, malignant tumours, acuteinfectious diseasas with inflammatory symptoms, pregnancy, fever.
