Open-air Stage of Zalacsány,
Horse riding is guaranteed

The Open-air Stage of Zalacsány suitable for seating 500 guests offers the following programmes throughout the year.

Every Tuesday from May till September: „1000 years on horseback”, i.e. a performance of horse-riding and dancing with the most interesting parts of the 1000-year-old Hungarian history of horse-riding. In the first part of the programme the audience is guided back to the time of the Hungarian conquest through the battle shows, dancing and religious rituals. The spectators can see an original Hungarian ’puszta’ show with horseherds. In the last part of the performance the beautiful life of the Hungarian hussars is presented.

Every Thursday from May till September: „Gipsylove”, i.e. a romantic dancing and horse-riding performance in two acts. The show presents the adventurous life of the gypsies, virtuoso dances and the original atmosphere of the gypsy caravans. Traditional dances with weapons, trick shows of horse riding can be seen and the audience can take part in an original gypsy reception as well.

The Balios Riding Club nearby the Open-air Stage provides facilities of horse riding and travelling by carriages.
