Characteristics of water: thermal water with alkali- (mostly sodium) hydrogen-carbonate, low degree of hardness (Thermal bath, Aquapark); natural water reservoir (Beach of Lake Gébárt); tempered mains water (Town Bath)

Thermal water is recommended as treatment for: arthrosis, waist and spinal complaints, articular diseases. Hydro-massage elements increase efficiency.

Facilities: buffets, sports grounds, rent of sunshades and deck-chairs.

Thermal bath in summer: bubble bath with drinkbar.

Beach of Lake Gébárt: boating, fishing, camping.

Town Swimming Pool: naturist sun-porch on top of building.

Town Bath: beautician, hairdresser, massage, biolarium, sauna, buffet all-year-round.

Zalaegerszeg is situated in a picturesque scenery of hills, on the river Zala, halfway of Lake Balaton and the western border of the country. Town Swimming Pool and Bath can be easily reached either on foot, or by bus or car as being in town centre, in Göcsej Street which is named after the characteristic region of the county. Water of the modern Swimming Pool and Bath totally renovated in 1993-94 is cleaned by high-tech rotating-filtering operation devices. 2-hectare, parked area with shady old trees and various facilities awaits for guests longing for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing.

There are 4 different bathing facilities in town including the ones mentioned before: Beach of Lake Gébárt: 4.5 hectares, natural sand, approximately 9000m2 surface, camping facility.

1. Town Swimming Pool: 2.5 hectares, parked, 3 pools;
2. Town Bath: sauna, and other beauty facilities.
3. Thermal Bath (next to the Beach of Lake Gébárt): in beautiful natural scenery.
4. AQUAPARK (next to the Thermal Bath): under construction; biggest Aquapark of Hungary offering special experiences and entertainment, 9 pools for different generations, 10 adult + 3 children water chutes.
