Letenye

The first volume of the town’s thermal bath programme was completed in Letenye in 2003. According to the plan two hot water pools (an adult pool on 660m2 and a children pool on 113 m2), equipment of water preparation and circulation, technological equipment, a block of showers and toilets and dressing cabins were built. In the near future another leisure centre with an adult sitting bath, an indoor swimming pool and other dressing cabins will be built as well as a car park.

The spa and the camp site is situated in a 3 acres greenery park, which belongs to the ancient park of the Szapáry Castle where the guests can relax in the shadow of 3-500 years old oak trees, sycamores and beeches. The eastern borderline of the area of the spa is the Béci stream and the southern one is the 7 highway. It can be approached by car on the service road from the 7 highway or on foot from Sénig Ferenc Street. A shady car park is provided for the guests.

The water supply of the pools and the block of showers and toilets is provided from two depth drilled wells; one of them is a cold water well with 340 litre/minute capacity while the other one is a thermal water well with 510 litre/minute. The quality of the water of the pools is provided by water circulation machinery, which is suitable to the regulations of the European Union. The temperature of the water of the pools is 30oC and the continuous heating is solved by thermal water.

We try to do our best with the longer opening hours and the decent admission fees in order to have more and more guests. The opening hours in the peak season is from 10.00am-9.00pm. Besides the spa we offer camping site facilities for 24 people at a time in wood-houses as well as in caravans and tents. A beach football and volleyball field has been built in the area of the spa for the sports fans. A 12-person crew provides the continuous operation.
