The thermal water of Igal that contains alkali-chloride and hydrogen-carbonate falls into the group of iodine thermal water because of its iodine-ion content. According to the high temperature and salty content of the thermal water it has an intensive biological effect. It fastens the curing process of the following: rheumatic locomotor disorders, general vascular lesion, arthritis, acute inflamed gynaecological pains (e.g. menstruation disorders, tumours, bladder-catarrh, inflammations, etc.), as well as urulogical and acute spinal pains. It can help in the following cases as well: chronic bronchitis, gastro-enteritis, hyperacidity, gastric and duodenal ulcer, as well as haemorrhoids. If you apply it through mouth it helps to cure the following problems: metabolism, digestive and gust problems, struma. According to its iodide content it has positive effect on wounds, suppurations, due to its bromide content it has positive effect on insomnia and nervous apprehension and as a result of its fluoride content it is good for tooth decay. The staff of the spa helps the process of recovery and gives advice depending on the diagnosis.
